The Evolutionary Systems Group (ESG), directed by Pier Augusto Bertacchini, Eleonora Bilotta, Mauro Francaviglia and Pietro Pantano is located at the University of Calabria, Italy. It is composed of scientists, associate researchers, fellows and Ph. D. students which work in a broad scientific area characterized by interdisciplinarity, new scientific methods and paradigms. ESG aims at promoting scientific interchange and high formation in various specific fields, such as: Complexity Theory, Arts and Science, Dynamical Systems Theory, Psychology of Programming, Evolutionary Robotics, Educational Technology, Mathematical Modelling and Industrial Mathematics. The Group has promoted a Ph.D. course in Psychology of Programming and Artificial Intelligence and the Doctoral School “Archimede”- Science, Communication and Technologies.

Electronic Media Reporting is an electronic publishing consultancy specialised in content strategy, based at Almere (The Netherlands), and active in Europe d the Middle East. The founder and co-owner Jak Boumans has been active in publishing since 1970 and started to specialise in electronic publishing in 1980. In 1990 he started Electronic Media Reporting, performing strategy studies, doing market scans, executing project audits and organising conferences and workshops. Electronic Media Reporting works in the field of e-content and eGovernment. Since 1998 the company has been involved in competitions in digital media and design, including the category e-Culture.

Institute for Computers  (RO)

ITC was for 20 years the main research center for computer industry in Romania, then it provided software solutions for Romanian economy. A significant segment of ITC is Multimedia solutions and technologies for digitizing content. A number of important projects related to the creation of the Romanian digital heritage had ITC as the main promoter together with cultural institutions as the Minister of Culture from Romania, The National Museum of Art of Romania, The National Institute for Historical Monuments, University of Art of Bucharest. All these projects involved complex teams composed of IT specialists, heritage and art specialists. The result has been award winning products as the CD-ROM Brancusi, the web site of National Museum of Art (www.mnar.arts.ro), the UNESCO’s National Heritage presentation (www.patrimoniulnational.ro).

Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (SK)

The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava is a public Institution established in the academic year 1937. In particular, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is accredited to provide study in thirteen Master of Science branches, five Bachelor of Science and ten PhD branches covered with the pedagogical staff of more than 148 teachers. The studies are provided by fifteen departments. Slovak Technical University has experience about coordination and management of European Projects (EU 6th FP, Leonardo, Tempus, ESF, LLL) and National Projects (KEGA, VEGA, APVV, APVT). At the moment our University participates in the ongoing EU Project SCIENAR and has therefore full competence to approach projects dealing with Science and Art. In this partnership we shall extend activities of this project adding to it a much larger educational impact.
